ZARAZA: Debut CD Available For Free Download
December 4, 2006To coincide with the disbanding earlier this year of Canada's long-running industrial/doom/death metal outfit ZARAZA, the band has released its debut CD "Slavic Blasphemy" (released in 1997) in its entirety at this location. The CD is posted in MP3, Ogg Vorbis and FLAC formats. FLAC is most important, since it is lossless (i.e. can be converted back to WAV and burnt to CD without any audio quality loss).
Back in 1997, Terrorizer magazine described this album as "LAIBACH meets DISEMBOWELEMENT head on in the music of ZARAZA. At times torturously slow, at others blindingly fast, always brutal, always weird, this stuff does not make for pleasant listening. Incredibly ugly yet strangely beautiful on occasion, 'Slavic Blasphemy' is black industrial in its most uncompromising form. About as easy to swallow as a putterfish (and probably a darn sight less tasty),this is one for only the sick."
